Mariusz Lukasiewicz is a Lecturer in African History at the Institute of African Studies, University of Leipzig. He completed his PhD in International History at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva in May 2017. His research and teaching interests focus on the history of economic institutions and financial intermediaries in a global historical perspective.
