Federico Tadei s an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economic History at the University of Barcelona. His research focuses on understanding how historical events and institutions shaped development paths in African countries, with an emphasis on trade and inequality. In particular, he has studied the structure and the short and long-term effects of colonial trade policies in British and French Africa and the role that colonial institutions and economic development played in income inequality.
