Kofi Takyi Asante is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research at the University of Ghana, Legon. His research lies at the intersection of Political, Economic, and Historical Sociology. His substantive research areas include state formation, colonialism, citizenship, corruption, development, social capital, and entrepreneurship. Until 2017, he was a research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse, France. He studied at the University of Ghana, the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Northwestern University in the US.
